Venice: San Zanipolo
San Zanipolo is the biggest church in Venice. Also the most dodges were buried here.
The church is very impressive from inside with many interesting monuments. Unfortunately taking pictures inside is forbidden so you must have a look at Wikipedia or Google, sorry.

Venice: Teatro la Fenice
We booked tickets for a concert at La Fenice, the legendary teatro in Venice.
The teatro burned down in 1996 but were restored later in old glory. The entrance hall:
The house with the Royal Box is peautiful.
The performance was a concert (Tschaikowski) and was of high quality.

Venice: Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo
Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo got quite popular during the last years because of its staircase.
I followed the old advice to book tickets in advance and reserved 2 timed tickets. I did it especially as the number of guests should be limited. When we arrived there was no line or something like this, but we werent able to enter with our tickets. We were 10 minutes early and we first had to exchange our tickets. I wouldnt book tickets in advance next time.
After we entered the staircase was not that super secial..
Nice was the view from above
They have also the "Tintoretto hall", which shall be an art-collection. There was excactly one Tintoretto:
Otherwise it was in my eyes uninteresting modern art.
Personally I would visit tje Palazzo and if there is no line visit. Otherwise you dont miss much.

Gelato: Grom Venice
Grom is a gelateria with outlets all over Italy. Its often hyped and you even get some Grom gelato at the supermarket.
The gelato is pretty good and perhaps its the best gelato group in Italy. Nevertheless you cant compare it to the top-Gelaterias from Dissapore list.
If you really like to waste your Money you can order a gelato-brioche. You get a small amount of gelato in a very cheap brioche (or something what looks roughly like it). This costs you around 5 Euros.....

Venice: Accademia
Accademia is the most famous museum of art. Of course I expected there would be a long line as I read at several publications. So I booked timed tickets in Advance including a booking fee.. When we arrived 1 person waited at the counter for reserved tickets and 1 person at the regular counter. Another wasted fee..
They do renovations at the moment so not all rooms were open. Nevertheless there were some pictures.
To be honest I wasnt too impressed. I guessed one reason were the renovations.

Venice: Peggy Guggenheim Collection
Next we wanted to visit Peggy Guggenheim Collection and of Course I had pre-reserved tickets. Again there was no line and the Reservation fee was wasted.
We were greated by a sculpture:
The garden offers some art
and the grave of Peggy Guggenheim.
She is buried beside her Lhasa Apso dogs, I think there could be much worse company.
The main collection is inside Palazzo Venier die Leoni, which is uncompleted. First some special excamples of art. Always when I see something like that I sak myself why I didnt become an artist...
There is a room dedicated to Peggys daughter Pegreen Vail Guggenheim, who died with only 41 years.
There is also some other art of course.
But now to the famous entry of the Palace at the Canale Grande with the famous sculpture by Marino Marini, called "The Angel of the City". I think if you normally ride through most towns at the world like this you will at least get a nice ticket
