We have a mutual admirer when it comes to trip reports. Too bad he's (sort of) retired now.
I was rather worried initially the parents would find the itinerary too taxing. They managed to keep up wonderfully and even said they liked the relaxed pace. Three months after the UK trip they went on Camino de Santiago for 2 weeks. I guess age is just a number after all. Haha.

They dispatched a mobile unit from Carlisle I believe. The problem is Ambleside only gets visits every alternate day so we had to wait for the next visit. They wouldn't let us replace the tyre ourselves.
