Jet Airways First Class YYZ-AMS-BOM, return in Business

Good morning from the KLM lounge in Amsterdam.
Just flown in on Jet Airways from Toronto.
I had booked my ticket in Business, but decided to upgrade my outbound trip to First class.
I booked suite 1A on both legs of the trip.
I arrived at Pearson right when check-in opened, on a snowy day in Toronto. We were given access to the KLM lounge in Pearson, a welcome change from the shoddy Plaza Premium lounge across the way. I sat and had a drink, and waited. Boarding started 30 minutes later than expected, so roughly 6pm. Doors closed at 7:30, and we then took a one-hour tour of the de-icing facilities in Toronto. Departure from Pearson at 8:40, two hours behind schedule. While on the ground, I was offered a "mojito" without rum, and it was very refreshing.
Service began twenty minutes later, with my pre-ordered Gin and Tonic and some very flavourful bhujia.
I skipped the soup/salad, as none of them sounded that inspiring. I had the chicken seekh kebab for my starter, which was amazingly tasty. One of the tastiest things I've ever eaten on a plane, in fact. I'd have been happy eating it on the ground as well. The chicken seekh kebabs were served with a mint chutney that I can only describe as vibrantly fresh and pungent. The taste of fresh mint came through very strongly.
The chicken Lababdar was good, if a little too salty. The sides that accompanied it, the dal, rice and veg were all good.
The seviyan kheer (rice pudding but made with vermicelli) was a perfect way to end the meal.
The crew made up my bed and I slept until 90 minutes before arrival. The pillows were generously padded, and the seat itself was extremely comfortable.
Immediately upon waking and opening the suite doors, the crew arrived to ask if I was ready for my tea. I then had a masala chai, and prepared for arrival in Amsterdam.
The service was professional but not overly friendly. That said, I have qualms about having expectations that are too high when the staff of the airline have not been paid in months.

Photos from both flights, and narrative about the second flight, to come once I reach Mumbai.

Looking forward to the photos. Did not know that Jet stops over in AMS? I thought that BRU was the transit stop between India and Canada and USA?

Really? If that indeed the case, I'd concur.

Shortly after finishing this post, boarding commenced, and all I can say is wow. The service was incredible on the AMS-BOM leg. The crew were fantastic, proactive and attentive. We took off on-time from AMS and soon after, it was time for the meal service. While on the flight from YYZ-AMS, the First Class cabin was pretty full, on this leg, there was only one other person traveling in the cabin with me.
Like on the flight from YYZ, I skipped the soup and salad, as neither sounded particularly interesting. Had a salmon tikka for the starter, and a chicken Tikka masala for the main. Both were good, but the Tikka Masala chicken could have had some more flavour. The real star of the meal was the dessert, the chukandar halwa or Beetroot halwa, cooked down in plenty of butter and cardamom. I ate both meals with the fellow passenger in F. The tray table is enormous, and more than enough room for people to share a meal.
After this meal, I went to sleep for a while, and immediately upon waking up was offered a tea. 90 minutes before landing, we had the final meal, which was a shrimp curry with flaky malabar paratha. It was delicious, and at the end of the meal, I got greedy. I asked the FA if they had any more of the beetroot halwa, and they didn't, so they brought me and my dining companion a different dessert, which was also incredible. It was a pecan halwa.
Landing was smooth, and upon exiting the plane, someone was waiting for me with my name on a sign, to escort me through immigration and customs.
All in all, this was a fantastic flight.
The crew made the journey wonderful on this leg. As well as the fact that, through both flights, the food was incredible.
