Yikes that is a long way to BOG. EK didn't offer a good deal via Panama?

I don't think EK flies to PTY(?). There are options via Spain or Brazil but they were ~$2k.

Great trip report as always.

Congrats on getting up early to exercise. That's tough to do on vacation!

Thank you, farbster. Takes a bit of extra motivation but means I can overindulge a bit more at the breakfast buffet.

Another wonderfully detailed and fantastic trip-report. Thanks!
(By the way; I just recently got back from a great trip to Mexico City; which was TOTALLY inspired by your past Mexico City trip-report!)

Many thanks, xtra1. Hope you had a good time in Mexico City too, a place I would really like to get back to.

That is a really detailed trip report with great pics! Those Avianca's A321 cabins look really nice. Wouldn't expect IFE onboard narrow body jet

Thanks for the trip report. I've noticed that you were going for Mexican or Sushi food. Are you trying to be polite saying that Colombian food is not good?
I've spent 3 days in Colombia and I didn't have single tasty Colombian meal. Everything else about Colombia is nice, but unfortunately they don't have good food.
That's my take on Colombia.

Thanks, kriskarch. Yes, the Avianca A321 was nice, must have had IFE as it was a longish international flight.

Cheers, bwiadca, Yes, the food wasn't too memorable. I'm not a much of a fussy eater though.

Really enjoyed this trip report. I went to Bogota and Cartagena last December and had a great time. Congrats on a very detailed TR DanielW.
