If I return I wanted to visit Montivedeo and Punta del Este. Is Colonia worth the extra days? I know many people go there; even for one day. Anyway the food in Argentina looks great. You are great at finding inexpensive good hotels. My cousin whose husband works at KLM is fantastic at this too. LOL. I am impressed! As to Salta I thought they had a famous train ride?

A very entertaining report, as usual. You always do so many things!
I was a bit shocked by the peso to dollar rate. I used to go to BA every year or so, and last visited in 2009. I ended up with $200 USD worth of pesos at the end of the trip, but thought I’d just spend them on the next trip. Seems I might have enough for an airport taxi into the city.

Once again, an exciting TR with some amazing photos!! Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with us. Have you ever thought of consolidating all your TR's into a coffee table type of book? Will probably cost a fortune to print though.
As an aside: Reminds me of a weekend I spent at a game lodge with friends. The one guy is in Forensics, and his job is to dig up found corpses or skeletal remains. His colleague is a Forensic artist - he depicts what the victim could have looked like, or what they would have looked like years later, and his wife is a Lecturer in Forensic Pathology. And I specialise in an extremely toxic (and highly regulated), chemical product. So yes, some conversations that weekend were rather different to say the least.

Yes, its interesting who you meet while travelling, a forensic artist would certainly have some interesting tales to tell.
Thanks, londonfog. A great place to see some more of South America.
Thank you, dcmike.

Great report as always. When I saw the part of your trip to the falls, all I could think of was the clip of the movie Bruce Almighty. Tell the truth; do you have the same hat and did you wear it on this boat ride?

Thanks for the Trip Report and pictures. When you flew on Ethiopian was there a choice of meals on any of the flights? Also how did the return flights go?

Just a Canon 5D4 plus a few lenses.
Thank you, nequine. Yes, Iguazu was really amazing, definitely worth the flight up from BA.

Loved your TR as always, thank you. Reading this one (unlike some of your others!!) I could relate to the places seen, except that you fit them all into one short trip - my style of traveling, to be sure, but I'm still impressed. For me, Uruguay & BA was a trip in October 1y ago (also fit in MVD and Carmelo), then Iguazu (both sides) & Paraguay (also Asuncion) in March, and again to BA this year probably at the same time as you (June 18). Even the things you saw in BA I've enjoyed across many visits... Thanks for bringing back lots of good memories.
I'm impressed you crossed by foot into Paraguay; we drove across going to Asuncion - from what I've read it's unsafe in AGT, especially the bridge crossing which is a "no-man's land" as far as policing.
Salta is one thing I'm missing - definitely seems like a worthwhile trip.
Waiting for the next one!
