Loved the pictures of my home state. As a kid, we would go to Gorge all the time. On your next trip, and it is waterfalls you are looking for, go about an hour south of Portland to Silver Creek Falls State Park. There are 20 falls just waiting for your photo opportunities.

I did a similar but somewhat expanded (in term of geography) trip recently.
Agreed with up-posts, the Trillium Lake is cool. Never been there, if I go I would try focus stacking with those rocks in foreground.
