Rianda doesn't get quite as much vacation time as me, although she still gets jealous of all my trips.

What travel agency did you deal with? I read you must spend a minimum amount per day to obtain a Visa and that a trip is expensive? Maybe I missed it but how many days did you stay?

It took about 90 minutes up and 40 back down... 2000' elevation gain (8000' -> 10000')

Thank you, tjcnkc. Yes, a very interesting and unique place. Quite different to neighbouring Nepal and India.

I was there for three nights/days. Yes, minimum of ~$250 per person per day. This is the tour company: I used Raven Bhutan Just another WordPress site

And maybe a bit slower if you're on the back of a horse.

Really enjoyed this TR, great balance between photos, history and commentary as always. Bhutan is definitely somewhere I'd like to visit one day.

Many thanks, Spymon. Yes, the country has quite an interesting history, especially in the last century or so.
