Brilliant; thank you KARFA. One can only imagine how challenging this airpot had been before the days of RNAV/GNSS and I guess that visibility is often an issue here.

Beautiful photos and a great trip report — saw a reference to Innsbruck and found this old thread. Would love to take a trip there one day myself.

I have been since for a longer time, and went up the cable car to the mountain range to the north of Innsbruck. I will find the photos and post them on here.
