SIN-HKG-TLV - A Pictorial Report

The trip back to TLV was uneventful and since I was flying on the same CX's aircrafts and on the exact same routes here are some pictorial highlights of the trip.

On the way to the runway saw this cool GE branded AK Airbus 320:

Another indication of the shortcomings of 60A/K:

Another uninspiring meal

I'm sure here the food will be inspiring...

It is! despite the appearance of the photos...

And back to mediocre food on HKG-TLV

The nicest feature of both segments - the purser comes to say hello and offers a bottle of water; well done CX

In the next and final instalment of the TR - how to get to Jerusalem with the relatively new airport bus.

Hoppa to Jerusalem

Say you land in TLV and would like to get to Jerusalem (who wouldn't )...

The ever-delayed fast-train will go the distance in 20 minutes but until our messianic hopes will be fulfield one has several options including a taxi (quite expensive), a shared van (relatively cheap but tiresome and usually unpleasant drivers), a slow-train (through Tel Aviv, see in my former TR) and a bus that takes you all the way to Jerusalem central bus station. A couple of months ago I took it from Jerusalem to the airport and was pleasantly surprised so gave it a try this time on the "inbound". Over all, it was a very good experience, quick (45 minutes) and cheap (16₪).

The bus platforms are on the second level near exit 21:

... on Public Transport Road

Here it is:

Last glance at the CX bird:

The bus stops on the way at the low-cost terminal (1):

I decided to go public transportation all the way to end so took the light-rail at the central bus station:

And route #7 (on a self-made FC Beitar Jerusalem coach) all the way to my apartment.

That's all

Nice report

I read the linked thread about waiting in the arrivals area at HKG. I have to agree with those who said you could. I've had to wait there many times for transit desks to open and the area is set up for people to relax and wait if necessary. There's even a smoking room... which if the intention was to get you out of the airport as soon as possible (no loitering), wouldn't exist.

Thanks

I must say that after going through arrivals at HKG I cannot understand those who said it's not possible or disallowed...
