@RoadWarrior, thank you so much. I too hope for a slightly smoother trip next time around. I don't think I'm headed anywhere until May, but you never know. Perhaps I should ask Liam Neeson to accompany me for the entire trip, just in case.

I'm a rare visitor to the trip report forum of late, but reports like this one make me glad I checked in when I did. Another typically excellent effort by one of my favorite trip reporters. Thanks, Mats! You da Man!! And that said, I hope I am able to one day take you up on your offer to meet up in Tel Aviv and trade stories over a Dancing Camel or some other fine local libation. (Or Denver or Tucson or Chico or Helena...)

@Seat 2A, glad you decided to come visit this side of the forum!
As always, your compliments mean the world to me -- you are the master of trip reports, and I cannot even begin to answer your trivia questions.

I will ensure that there is a frothy glass of camel's milk waiting for you at any port of call, or you might decide that you aren't so thirsty after all.

To quote Goldie Hawn in "Protocol,"
"We're all out of camel's milk so this is yoghurt and 7-Up."

hilarious trip report. I'm sorry to read that your sister and a friend flaked and and all the electronics that were either lost or stolen.
