I can agree to the first part of your opinion but where in CE do they eat a salad AFTER the main course? A salad usually goes along with the main course. As someone who lives in continental europe I am surprised.
Agree.
Northern Italians usually have salad after the first plate and with the second. However, it you're not eating a second or had it first, then salad will be last.

Haha right? I honestly don't know how people had a salad post meal though. It looked like a decently sized portion.

Nope. I flew back December 31st on the A380 flight. Even got a call from some in AF LHR two days prior telling me that they were aware I was joining them, an escort would be meeting me, and if I had any requests. No mention of the fare or anything.

It was posted on here in the Premium Fares Deal forum I think. There's a whole thread that's been since moved to Mileage Run Discussion.

Well what a coup. It's so difficult to have the opportunity to fly AF Premiere. What was the error fare? Thanks for a wonderful report. There is also a web site called Secret Fares but I don't have the patience to check every day the discussion boards etc. Great that AF honored the fare.

I presume it was the $1500 La Premiere “mistake” fare to LON from a few weeks ago. AF actually cancelled the vast majority of tickets; it seems like OP was one of the very lucky few that slipped through the cracks.

Excellent TR. Happy to see that some managed to benefit from this offer. Did you manage to fly back to the US in First ?
I find the proactive 20K miles gesture for the lack of hot water a nice one. Surprised to see that from AF actually !

Andrew, you're my kind of trip reporter!.

Speaking only for myself, I must say I find all of the extra photos covering the tiniest minutiae of the flight (such as the aforementioned bottles of water and hot towels) annoying enough that I've pretty much given up on the Trip Report forum. I enjoyed it a lot more 15 years ago when we didn't have pictures (Daniel W and a couple others excepted) and people had to actually write their reports. As such they spent a lot less time (if any) describing water bottles, hot towels and seat controls. Where once I was a regular, I now check in only about once a month. I probably miss out on a lot of fine reports but frankly, I have neither the time nor patience to wade through all the silly photographs to find them. Thanks for focusing your report and your photos on the items that really matter to someone who's curious about what flying aboard Air France's First Class is really like.
