Stunning photos - particularly the ones of the creatures. Thanks so much for posting

I join the crowd to say wonderful TR.
A skiing adventure in Antartica must be a lifetime experience!
Thanks

Thank you very much for this brilliant report - I wish blueish colors were as blue elsewhere on planet...

Great TR and photos! My dad was in the British Antarctic Survey back in the 1950's and early 60's and this trip is my number one travel goal! His old slides are spectacular but your full colour HD brings it up to date! Thanks again for renewing my drive to get out there!

Thanks for the tip on waiting for their last minute promo deals. Clearly not an inexpensive proposition either way, but 50% off is a far more attainable way to do it! ^

Thanks for posting your pictures and giving us such great details about your voyage. We're seriously looking into an Antarctic trip for 2019, and your TR has been really useful. Your photos are terrific! May I ask what camera and lens you were using? You mentioned that you wished you had brought another telephoto lens, what lens were you wishing for?

I just now saw this trip report. Wow! What an amazing adventure, and what fantastic photos. I'd love to see penguins up close like that, but so far Antarctica is not on our travel list.

Thanks for sharing!!

I was using a Canon 6D with a 24-105 f/4L, a 16-35mm f/4L IS and a 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS. Instead of the last one I wish I had brought a 70-200mm of some sort with a 1.4x extender, or even a 300mm fixed lens. It was clear to me that the non-L 70-300mm lens just isn't a good as L-glass.
