BA Club MAN-LHR-CFU

Hi All

Started my trip at Manchester (MAN) Uk airport Terminal 3 on 11th September.

MAN - LHR BA 1387
A319 G-EUPV

I use this airport a great deal and have to say its seen better times. Terminal 3 was the mainstay of BA back in the day when regional flights covered a lot of Europe, domestic and the daily 767 to JfK.

Now BA is a minor player and the original lounge has been systematically scaled back over the years. Its still good for an out station though.

Terminal 3 is the home of Ryanair and FlyBe. American, KLM and a few others use it. Security is very hit and miss.

Anyhow I thought I'd post some images of current offering of the BA Lounge.

I didn't have much time to spend in the LHR lounges, however, they have been well covered by others.

The flight left on time and we were soon on our way. Little was I to know that arrival in CFU would prove to be very eventful!

As we descended into CFU the flight deck came on and said there was a thunderstorm near the Airport. Quite right! We came in for rwy 35 and broke off, looking out the window gives you the feel

We came in again for rwy 35, again it was 'go around' this time a decision was taken to go for the opposite runway. A wise choice, albeit a 'hard' landing we where down, excellent airmanship ^
