Background: I was in Southern Poland a few weeks ago and we decided to drive South to Ostrava in the Czech Republic for a day. I did the trip with my grandpa who's over 90 so walking around and taking photos was a bit limited. I still managed to check out the downtown area for an hour while he had his daily siesta...
Here we go:
Ostrava (also known as Mhrisch-Ostrau in German) is a city of around 300.000 and capital of the (historically) trans-border region of Moravia and Silesia. It's known for its historic centre and industrial area of Vitkovice.
#1 Katedrla Boskho Spasitele (Cathedral of the Divine Saviour)
#2 After lunch we drove to the Bolt Tower right inside the heart of Vitkovice (industrial area of the city) CZ Tourism Bolt Tower Ostrava
#3 The views are truly mind-blowing but I don't recommend the visit if you suffer from vertigo. A short walk, some stairs and a lift later...
#4
#5 Back in the city centre
#6
#7
#8 Town hall with one hell of an observation deck

Yes...there's still the other half of my trip report to Albania/Kosovo missing but I have close to no time these weeks so it might take a couple more. The photos above is all I've done in terms of editing and uploading during the last month.
I hope you enjoyed the report! Have a good weekend!
