A question stimpy, how were you allowed to look at the passenger manifest?

It wasn't a big deal in those days. It was always posted in the galley on UA and there are countless threads in the UA forum from back then about looking at the manifest. Plus you could say all the FA's were a bit distracted on that flight.

I flew from LAX to ORD on AA about 10 years ago with Ali sitting across the aisle from me. The Champ's Parkinson's was pretty advanced at that point, he and his wife boarded last and he slept through most of the flight. They both boarded an electric cart after deplaning, as the cart proceeded down the concourse people applauded as Ali and his wife drove past. It was pretty amazing to see.
