The unexciting LAS trip posting...:-)

Even though I love reading & moderating this forum, my personal report to LAS is pretty basic.

So, I do not want to bore those of you who hunger for the wonderful reports as written by our other superb contributors... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

OAK -LAS on WN is just what it is, simple, practical and to the point. WN is just an efficient bus-like carrier that delivers you door to door with no fuss.

For such a short trip, WN serves it's purpose. I would have liked to use AA on this trip, but was not keen on doing a change of planes @ LAX - thus making the travel time 5 hours versus the 1hour & 10 minutes on WN.

WN's planes are really worn on the inside and it's the old turn & burn that reminds me of the city bus example.

But, for what it's worth, especially the good fare - it worked for me on this short 3 day excursion. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

We stayed @ the Bellagio for the end of February special - that was awesome @ $119 per night. Our room was on the 26th floor and overlooked the lake, so seeing the water show was a treat.

The overall experience of the Bellagio would make me return there. Good service and every imaginable ammenity to say the least.

Even our basic room was incredibly beautiful, spacious and with a bathroom to die for...lol.

I checked out the Spa, nice place although the prices where a tad too high for my wallet, but alas I still found the array of services to be top notch.

One highlight was dining at the Picasso restaurant -I would highly reccommend this to all of you. The experience of the prix fixe menu with the wine pairings made for an excellent evening. That, I'd do again too.

Of course I played some slots, but somehow never managed to win the "big one"...hmmmm, must have been the wrong day of the week. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

The return:

LAS airport is like Disneyland- you could be stuck there due to missed or cancelled flights and still gamble til your hearts content...Ahhhh, the joy of Sin City.

Pretty uneventful leaving LAS. Security lines were quite busy for a mid-day Thursday, but went rather smoothly and quickly.

Again, WN was boarded in alpha groups and before you know it, we were pushing back.

While waiting for takeoff, there was a long queue of other notables: many WN, Alaska 737, America West 757, and I even got to see CO's 757-300, boy what a LONG plane that is.

After a quick roll down the runway, we were off back to OAK.

Service was the usual drinks & peanuts. Sorry, no hot towels or bistro bags here to tell about...lol.

Ok, so I know I have completely bored each & every one of you, so I will kill the messesnger once and for all. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks for using my uneventful trip report to take a nap to.

Blessings...

Personally, I enjoyed the brevity and liked the report in general! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

As a regular visitor to "Sin City", your report reminds me of many uneventful trips. This is not always a bad thing.

WN is not a realistic option for me (long flight out of BUF with no food http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif). Think of all the extra miles you'd have if done the five-hour via L.A. route. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
