Put a pair of gloves on....please!
This past week, I was targeted for the "random" security check 3 out of 6 flights. Two of those checks had the security people ransacking through my belongings with their bare hands...yuk!
Along with airport security, how about concern over the safety of blood borne pathogens? What about basic hygiene??? IMHO, if the security meaures require touching passengers personal belongings; all security checkpoint personnel should put on fresh gloves for each new random search. |
Somewhat related ... as we were getting ready for boarding at ORD recently, a gate agent announced, "For hygiene reasons, please do not present the boarding agent with your boarding pass in your mouth."

<blush>
I'm guilty of that one. <shrug> Oh well... |

Yesterday I was in customs in Boston arriving from Canada. I had my customs form in my mouth. I got a remarkably surly 'Do you think I want to touch that after it's been in your mouth?' from the customs agent. I refrained from offering any of the replies that ran through my mind, and thus was not stopped and body cavity searched.
