These give 2, 4, or more days all-in travel on the trains, Metro and the buses. If you go on the Eurostar from London they even sell the tickets in the London terminal (so you buy it from an English speaker). Now Rachel, did you get that Tiara in your pictures in Cartier?? [This message has been edited by prncess674 (edited 06-09-2002).] |
Thank you for reminding me of what a great city Paris is. With a trip to Paris planned in less than 2 weeks, your pictures brought back wonderful memories of my first trip just 2 short years ago. Now that I have discovered this wonderful city, I am determined to go back each year and have managed to do so, not once, but 3 times so far.

Princess what were the loads like on your Easyjet flights? Thank you. The only airlines in Europe making any money are Easyjet and Ryanair.

When I flew LPL-CDG and LAP-AMS, I would have to say that they were about 90% - 95%. Both trips were on Friday evening and Sunday evening. I don't know what the loads are like any other time of the day. There were several flights for EasyJet leaving LPL and they all appeared to be pretty full.

I just flew Buzz to CDG from STN on 6/7. Flight was great and the terminal they land at is CDG 1. The STN Express leaves from London Liverpool Street Station, and if you fly Buzz, you get a reduction in the 1 way tix from 13 to 11 GBPs. Picking up the tix at the kiosk once booked is so simple -- just slide your cc that yoo paid with to get your tix!
The Stn express takes about 45 mins (beware Sunday delays!) and leaves you right below the terminal building which has an elevator, but I did not see it -- but ramps are fine. Buzz has more check in lines than KLM UK or KLM (its owner) and the check in was fast and efficient with seat assignments made. Don't know about baggage limits, but suppose is the same as EasyJet. Very handy abbreviated "Rough Guide" in seat pocket for each inidividual of the many destinations that they fly to in France. Also, Buzz has intra-France flights! There is a KLM club lounge at STN, so those with NW club access I suppose have access as well. We had CO Pres club access and I demanded entrance b/c I wrongly thought privileges were also accorded us. Won that one, but see that I am wrong, it is only KLM's AMS club that grants access, so I would not expect it again. Not worth the 5 GBP admission, unless you have a very long delay at STN. The fare I paid was 40 GBP 1 way, and I am hopeful that it will fall further, as EasyJet enters the market -- they did not start flying from London to Paris (CDG and ORY?) until after my flight. |
