LAX-JFK AA 118 First Class

Had to make a one day trip to JFK for a business meeting. AA was great. Had a JL first class award ticket from LA to NRT. The ANGELS at the AA desk figured out how to ADD on a segment LAX-JFK-LAX to my already received JL ticket. They even got me a seat in PREMIUM.
Arrived at LAX at 5:00AM to reissue the above ticket. Enough horror stories. I have complained on this board before, but the poor ticket agents are having a really hard time in reticketing. Took ONE HOUR. Was then given my boarding pass for the 7AM flight to JFK in first, seat 2D.
Admirals club was busy at LAX. Also, BOTH Internet terminals were being used to guys who were playing solataire. Could not check e mail. LAX admirals club sncaks only include blueberry muffins and apples. At least the JFK club in terminal 9 has bagels, cream cheese and muffins. Minor complaint I guess. Headed on down to GATE 46A, where the flight seemed very full.
Plane was a 767-200 with new blue first seats, but not as nice as the 767-300 with the full sleeper seats that are used on this route many times. Just not my luck today. There were 9 seats total in first with 2 very attentive FA.
Was asked for OJ or water. Guy across from me had a bloody mary and his companion had a white wine. AT 6:30AM. Great way to start the weekend I guess. Before we headed on out we were handed our menus. Here is the transcript.

FRESH SEASONAL FRUIT
Choice of:
Fluffy Omeletee with Asiago Cheese, accompanied by Has Browns, and Yucatan Turkey Sausage from Bradley Ogden of ONe Market restaurant in San Francisco.
Salmon and Boursin Cheese wrapped in a crispy Wheat Crust accompanied by a spinach, tomato and red Onion Salad. I HAD THIS AND IT WAS FABULOUS
Scrambled Eggs and Silver Dollar Pancakes wiht a blueberry compote offered with basil garlic chicken sausage.
Selected Cereal including Cage Fanny Granola Cereal with almonds and raisins

BEFORE LANDING...
Fine Cheese complemented by fresh seasonal fruit, fresh flatbread and french rolls. Freshly baked Chocolate cookies.

......will have to continue later as my flight just got called to go back to LAX. Have a good Saturday

To RTW4
Was wondering the design of your F class menu on AA, can you post in somewhere or email ? I am a total fan of the menus on every airline in all classes

Sure. Menu design was the standard AA employee water color painting on the front cover which I think was a painting of a barn. Multi page menu with wine list separate from the entree and appetizer list

I await the rest too...!

What's this about 'new blue seats' in F on a 767-200??

What are they like? Can you tell us more please? Are they the old shaggy ones re-covered?

I recently flew SAN-JFK on a 762 and the F seats did in fact appear to be the old sheepskin seats recovered in a blue cloth. Nice enough, but not as good as the coffin seats. I am partial to the old seats, especially in J, after having spent too many hours on the lumbar roller coaster ride in the new seats.
