Post The Villa!

Our home for the week was a Five bed detached villa, with a garage and a pool!

We weren't able to park in the garage, due to a fault with the gate. We just parked on the street.

Dining room

Kitchen

Master bedroom...

One of two bathrooms with a bath

The second...

The layout of the home was rather strange. The living room was actually upstairs

My bathroom for the week

Some slightly amateurish photos taken with my Iphone...

View from my upstairs balcony

The view looking up to my terrace at the front of the house

The pool

Panorama courtesy of my sister...

Staircase windows

A breakfast meeting for one...

There were 8 sun loungers...

In total, there were 8 tables in this house. I think the owner got carried away...

Overlooking next door

We backed out onto hills, which was rather nice

If this were my home, I would probably make something of this space

Next door's patio

Bit of reading on my terrace

Hammock at the front of the house

Art work with phalluses sticking out is always amusing

The house came with a ping pong table

The evening we arrived, the owner of the home, informs us that there is limited water pressure in the area and that it is currently being repaired.

This made it impossible to shower as the water was nothing but a mere trickle. However the following day, I found this gem

An outdoor shower!!

Well basically water coming out of a pipe. Whilst it was cold, as the caption depicts...

Lets leave it there for now ladies and gents... thank you for staying tuned

BMW 2 Series Active Tourer

Make: BMW
Model: 2 Series Active Tourer
Price new: 25,000-27,000
Engine size-1.6 litre
Bhp: 136
Optional Extras:Nav, heated seats, powered tailgate.

Interior:

It wasn't the most cleanest of cars

Quite a wide windscreen

Standard BMW Maps:

Home!!

LHR and its taxiways

This car came with the option to put it in sport/comfort mode:

I took it for a spin and was impressed. This car is based on the chassis of the new BMW 1 Series, so having driven that, I was fairly comfortable in this.

The bottom line for this car is that it was fun to drive, had great handling and was fairly spacious. We struggled with our bags, but thats more our fault that the cars. It would be even greater if the car had a slightly higher spec, i.e leather, maybe the 1.8/ 2.0 litre engine and professional media. But for a rental it did the job.

Would I recommend this car as a rental? - I have sought MrLittSrs advice on this and we would. It does the job, and is better than anything else in the class.

If this car was a human who would it be?- Trevor McDonald. Kind of laid back but very good at what it does.

Cap de Formentor

Due to the short duration of our trip, there was very little sight-seeing that we had arranged. However, we had decided that we wanted to go to a place called Formentor on the coast.

Formentor is at the tip of the island, on the north.

An hour long journey due to the curvy roads.

At the end of the road is a lighthouse, where we will end the journey.

That morning, at 08:10 we left home.

Tech

Rich landscape:

One more town to go through

I admire this guy...

Soon we arrived at a view point created. This was the half way point.

Views

As I was taking these pictures, one of these shot out from behind me

Not entirely sure of the aircraft but it was pretty impressive

So stunning

Soon we were back to the car, ready for the next half of the journey

WOO nearly there

Made it

We had driven around that to get here

The Cap was pretty incredible. There was however in all honesty, quite a few wild goats roaming around, which made the place smell awful!

Mother Litt running away from said wild Goat

We spent around 20 minutes there. Overall the actual sight itself wasn't that brilliant, but the drive up and the view from the half way point made it all worth it!

Soon we were back on the road, ready for our final two days on the island.

Experience out of 5: 4/5

The final day on the island

Our final day was spent packing, lounging around the pool and getting ready for the journey home.

In the afternoon, Dad and I went out to visit a supermarket, to grab drinks for dinner and the pizzeria that we went to on the night we arrived, for our last supper.

Driving to the supermarket

[url=https://flic.kr/p/LQXaRy]

The supermarket was a place called Eroski

Acid mix um...

The size of the hot chocolate was bigger than anything I had ever seen in a Costco

Weetabix

We promptly left Eroski, with our drinks and headed out to the pizzeria

A quick blast down the autoroute

Ah narrow streets we meet again

A bit of a squeeze

This is actually really quite beautiful

We found somewhere to park up

Love these doors

We began the search of trying to find the restaurant. Well I looked, Dad was on some mass individual conference call

10 minutes later, google maps had found the restaurant (I dislike apple maps immensely) and Dad was still on the call leaving me to order in my best Spanish

The restaurant

Whilst we waited for the pizza's to be made, Padre continued his conference call and I sat there soaking in the Friday night atmosphere of the square

Pizza's in hand we headed back to the car

We were back on the road, and I once again found myself sat in silence as the conference call continued over bluetooth

Due to the lack of signal, that conference call ended as soon as we entered the hills. We got home, and everyone ate dinner whilst packing.

My Vegetable pizza

Packing for the return

All ready to go

Our wake up call for the following morning was set at 06:00, and I was eager to hit the sack so that I was bright eyed and bushy tailed for the return leg.

So by 22:30 I was out for the count, unlike the rest of the Litt's who were watching the new Jungle Book movie

The day of departure

Have any of you wonderful ladies and gentleman tried to go to sleep with what sounds like constant jungle noises being played in your ear?

Actually don't answer that, because I can almost guarantee someone saying that they have spent a night in an actual jungle, which makes this a moot point

Anyhow, lets back on topic, after falling asleep to animal noises, I awoke at 06:15, 15 minutes behind schedule and began sounding the trumpet to wake up the family, who struggled to wake up following their 3D jungle outing.

The home owner, was due at 07:45, leaving us an 1hr 30 to pack up the remainder of our stuff, eat breakfast and load the car, with the intention of being on the road for 08:15.

The view outside my window

What a stupid quote!

Breakfast, a left over pizza slice and a sprite

Bags ready to be loaded

Loading process

Whilst my parents finished their packing, my sister walked down to the recycling bins at the bottom of the road

Breathtaking... because of the smell of the recycling bins

Map of the street

I sat in the car, waiting for the lady to arrive.

She arrived with her mother, who she brought along because she had never met a Sikh or an indian for that matter, before! After speaking to her mother in basic spanish, paying the electiricy bill and receiving our security deposit, the Litts were back on the road. For one final time.

Our departure time was at 08:00. A full 15 minutes earlier than needed

Palma. Thats us today!

My breakfast drink

[img]https://c3.staticflickr.com/9/84[url=https://flic.kr/p/M7RGpW]

We needed to fill the car up as it was a full to full agreement and so we pulled up at a Repsol, 10 miles away from the airport to refuel. The time now is 08:45.

They had attendants to refuel the car, so there wasn't much we had to do

We headed back on the road at 08:50, a lot earlier than we needed to be, so decided to go into Aldi, to have a wander around. Yeah, we really were that early!

I thought this street art was actually really cool!

Welcome to Aldi...

After wandering into a completely empty Aldi, spending five minutes looking around, we were back on the road at 09:05

Aeropuerto

Air Europa

Thats us!

We found the check-in desks for Lufthansa Group and joined the business class check-in

We then had to take the escalators to security

Airplane Models outside security. I think all these airlines are defunct.

Who?

La Familia

An incredibly quick fast pass through security, had my turban

Whilst Mother Litt and Father Litt went through duty free, I tried to go to Burger King with Sister Litt

Sadly, my Father was venomously against me eating fries at 10 in the morning. Please don't judge, I am still a teenager after all

One thing I noticed was how many British Northerners there are in the airport. It was like I hadnt left England and was sat at Manchester Airport rather than in Palma! Another amusing observation that I noticed was that the Burger King was full of drunk teenagers flying home, who had clearly not done a Louis Litt and go to bed at a reasonable time, but decided to spend their final night on the strip and arrive at the airport hungover, and still slightly drunk

Anyhow, we proceeded to the Sala Formentor Lounge.

Sister Litt, decided that I was not worth talking to and decided to stick on her headphones. Rude!

Sala Formentor Lounge

The Sala Premium Lounge.

After scanning our boarding passes, we were let into the lounge

Food in the lounge was pretty poor.

My chocolate milkshake

I'm sure the fries would have been more healthy than this

Whilst I sat there, I decided to sync my spotify playlists on my iPad

FT Weekend as a lounge read

Um

Horrifically slow Wifi

Watches on display in the lounge.

At 10:50, we left the lounge, ready to begin the first leg of the flight home.

Rating out of 5 : 2.5/5

I visited Valdemossa-lounge, which has more or less the same offerings. OK for a pay lounge.
