Nice trip report. Berlin for beer is a worthy destination.

Surprised to not see any pics of the Whiskey bar at ZRH. Did you check it out?

LX F does look good. Question- With the new E First class lounge did you enquire into the private Hotel Rooms they have there in the new Lounge and if they were available or the requirements to use one?

Thanks for the great TR, WestAust!

Interesting that LX, which I always had a good impression of (comparable to LH/OS), only serves a side salad ("First Course") + an entrée ("Main Course") in for its main meal in J.

Whereas SN, which I would not have put in the same league as LX/LH/OS, apparently serves an appetizer + a starter + a side salad + an entrée! This doesn't say anything about taste or quality of course, but that's two extra courses!

LX F does look amazing though.

Thank you for the report. Do you need status for an F upgrade? iirc, you do for an F redemption.

I respectfully disagree. My ZRH-NRT flight from about 4 years ago was one of the best I've had. Although it was the old F, the impeccable service and food made up for it. The venison was one of the best meals I've ever had on a plane.

I don't believe you need status for upgrades, you can upgrade from a P fare only on LX , not with LH.

No we didn't checked the Whisky bar which is in the SEN Lounge, we thought about it but it was too late.

We did not asked about the day rooms, so can't help you there. If they are anything like the rooms in the Terminal A lounge, only requirements are that they are available, and I don't remember if there was a time limit on use or not.

Whoah! How much is a one-way F award? Can't be much more than that?
