Charleston, SC - Where NOT to stay (It's the Hilton)

Let me save you some heartache if you're heading to Charleston, SC. Do NOT stay at the Hilton. The rooms are about the size of a shoebox, two twin beds?, toilet kept running, shower water comes out in one stream (ouch by the way), no gift shop, no nothing! Even my breakfast was lousy!

Heed my word...do not stay here. The Sleep Inn has better accomodations than this place!

Aren't there two Hiltons in Charleston, one by the airport and one in town?

I recall that what they call/callled the Hilton Charlestown (the former Marriott) is actually a bit north of town, quite near the airport. Yet there is also another resort type Hilton, Charlestown Harbour. I think it may actually be in the Mt Pleasant area.

The Hilton site shows:
Hilton Charleston North (near airport)
Hilton Charleston Harbor Resort (across from Downtown)

You might want to drop a note in the Hilton forum.

It is in Mount Pleasant. It is only a couple of years old, but you'd never know it. It is in pretty bad shape.
