Trip Report: DEN-SEA (LONG!)
(SOUND OF LOUD CAT'S MEOW!) OK! WAKEY WAKEY!
Also had some at the RCC EAST, Denver to have a SAMS and have the bartender ask my about my flying. I said I was about a half hour early. He said "hopefully your luck holds out." IT DIDN"T! http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif UA FGT 1447: the first thing I notice on this 757 is almost everyone in first has Red Carpet Luggage tags and we all board in sinc. Got seated next to a nice gentlemen who asked about my upgrade secrets. I thought he was a UA employee because he had his I-D badge on his belt, but later found he wasn't. IN FACT: NO U-A WORKERS ON ANY OF MY FLIGHTS. MAYBE MATT'S LETTER HAD SOME ACTION! I was chatting with this gentleman and I was just three words from being finished when this SCHOOL MARM of an F-A leans in my face says "Do you mind ceasing your little conversation so you can watch the safety video?" I said "Well I just finished." It was the old safety video. We taxi out to the runway and stop when the captain says "We have a little rain storm that should pass over us quickly." 45 minutes later, the storm (with the speed of De-LAH-TAH's flights out of ATL) finally passes and we finally take off. Luckily the School Marm flight attendant was helped by a nice gentleman named Chris who took the drink orders. I annoyed the School Marm by asking her to repeat the meal order (I could not hear her by the chatty couple behind me talking a mile a minute.) She said the "Snack" was a either a chicken caesar salad or a Tuscan quesadilla (which I asked "do you have a Tuscan?" I got it.) (I call her School Marm because she reminds me of the Third Grade teacher who tormented me all that year and thought I was "totally odd.") The flight was otherwise uneventful but the School Marm got more friendly as we neared landing. I think she even cracked a smile. We ended up getting in 45 minutes late at SEA-TAC. Called DTTB and after navigating the SEA-TAC subway met up with her to find Newself at the Alaska Air Luggage area. |
Understand those of us who are busy working.
