Great as usual, Sam!

Sad I never got the chance to fly this one...

I am quite surprised by the noise from the engine heard in the cockpit I thought it is quieter in the cockpit and the level of noise is very low.

Never feel unsafe flying to and inside Iran. People are very relaxed.

I would feel more tense around Somalia perhaps.

I was invited on a trip to Pakistan from the MD of PIA so all my flights I received special treatment

Great stuff, Sam. Looks like it was a fun and memorable experience to fly both a unique aircraft and not often flown airline at the same time. Thank you.

How does one get into the cockpit like this? Amazing thanks for posting! If I had $$ to burn Id buy a 747SP for nostalgic flying reasons. Flew Korean Air on one of these once.

Great video! Interesting that they let you in the cockpit on landing! It would be a great experience although I feel that they shouldn't have non-staff up front during the flight.

Sadly for me I'm too young to have flown in a 742 with the closest I've been to one is the old Qantas 747 in Longreach.

Never been on Iran Air. My last time aboard a 747SP was way back in 1992.
