Trip Report: 5 days in London
Hi all -
Just thought I'd share the blog entries I wrote during our 5-day visit in London. We were pretty much on our own, we didn't join any tour groups. We explored the city and Windsor along with friends and family who live in the UK. We went with the flow, took advantage of using the public transportation - Underground Tube, Overground, double decker bus, and Uber. We were in charge of our own time and just picked the sites that we liked best. We didn't hit everything - but that's okay, it gave us a reason to come back.
Lastly, we traveled a few days after the Paris attacks. I did write in my very last entry (see below), that we went forward with the trip. We didn't want to stop our plans. We didn't want to be terrorized. We didn't feel fearful in London, Budapest, Prague - nothing different if we had stayed home. I also included my takeaways - from the shoes I wore, to the cell phone/wifi availability - all the lessons-learned! We had fantastic vacation!
