We did a little trip along the costline which is stunning.

Highlight was Cabo da Roca, which is part of the Sintra-Cascais National Park. It is the westernmost extend of the European mainland. You find a monument, lighthouse and some tourist facilities.

One of the better beaches at the coast is Praia do Guincho. It was much too cold to swim but neverless nice to walk a few steps. The beach was film location at James Bond – On her Majesty´s Secret Service (first sequence).

In Sao Pedro do Estoril we found a small esplanade on a cliff with some nice plants and a view point.

Very nice. I got back not too long ago from a trip to Lisbon and stayed around the Obidos area. I did some surfing around Baleal.

Last item on agenda was Convento dos Capuchos. It´s a 1560 funded monastery. The rooms are very simple, in many cells are so small, that you can´t really lie or stand. The rooms are partly carved into the rock and only isolated with cork. You feel harked back into another era. I really recommed a visit, I really enjoeyed my visit.
