Photo Trip Report: Havana, Cuba + Cubana
Hi Folks,
Cuba is worth visiting - period.
I wish I could post the text of my report as well, but Google penalizes too harshly, so if you want to read the corresponding text (like how I was accused of being an American spy!) you can click through the links below to my blog. But, there is no reason to do that if you just want to see photos - all photos are here and a picture is indeed worth a thousand words, forming a self-standing trip report. I wish my pictures were as prolific as DanielW's, but I do have a new camera since this trip was made.
Without further ado, please enjoy:

I loved this! Love how in some Carribean, Central and South America, some entire cities are thousands of feet above sea level, so the clouds look remarkably close to the ground. In Bolivia, El Alto International Airport is located almost 12,000 feet above sea level (!!!).
Though a bit sad to see the KLM MD-11 resting there, the entirety of the posted pictures was top notch.

Cuba is definitely rising in the list of places to hit in 2016. I've been 3 times before on vacation growing up as it's a common spot for Canadians but haven't been on my own or as an adult, so I want to go back before it gets spoiled by too many tourists.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for your comment! Indeed, Cuba is like a step back in time and I see no immediate changes on the horizon.
Thanks!
Thank you for reading!
Thanks LPDAL! One of my biggest regrets is never getting on the Northwest DC-10 before it was retired (biggest regret is not flying Concorde). Now the MD-11 I've missed...sigh.
Thank you for reading!
We will certainly read a lot more about Cuba in the future -- how the country will turn out is another, fascinating question.
Indeed! Thanks DanielW.
