Twice Asia with OW Carrier, QR C/F, BA C, CX C.

Hi,

The first trip had only the intention to burn some miles.

So we booked, TXL-DOH-SIN / BKK-DOH-AUH // AUH TXL, using some avios and some GOL Smiles miles.

We want to stay some days at Singapore and after this we searched for an Island that is not so fare away and has some nice snorkeling spots.
So we found the Perhentians Island ( Besar )

The flights to KBR are a mix of AirAsia and Jetstar.

The second trip is for earning some new miles at AA und to get Exec. Plat ( Thx to the Fast Track Promo )

So i booked a cheap BA trip in C. TXL-LHR-KUL-HKG-KUL-LHR-TXL

Here are some pics of our Trip. ( Flights, Hotels and so on )

At the moment we are in Singapore and on monday we will fly/drive/ship to the perhentians Islands.

i hope you have some fun while reading/looking...

greets

TXL to DOH

First we were able to enjoy a 1h trip with the Deutsch Bahn. Nothing to complain but also nothing to admire!

Then we had 1 hour at the BA lounge at Tegel Airport. At Tegel all lounges are landside.

First we flew TXL DOH with an old A330-200 from QR. For this 5h20m flights the older business class was good enough. The service and the food were also quite good.

And here is the Menu

Then we had 2hours at the "new" Airport at Doha. The Transfer Check was quick and so we loose no time and went to the business class lounge.

and they still serve Krug at the Business Lounge

Then it was time to board for our flight to SIN. It was a new A350-900

because i want to sleep i only choose to eat some small appetizers

the flight was really good. And the seat was awesome for some sleep. We also had a really nice crew!

In Singapore we stayed 3 nights at the Conrad Centennial Singapore. We got a Centennial Suite. But the rooms need an update. But we paid nearly nothing for our stay ( no HH points!!! ), so nothing to complain.

Our Room

The Lounge at the 31th floor

And some night pics of Singapore

and some good squid

Cake looks good, squid looks good!

Check the pics on posts 3 and 4 - looking forward to seeing them! Would particularly like to see the A350 pics, and also would be curious to view pics of the BA lounge at TXL, which I didn't have the chance to see because BA/AB doesn't think they need to follow oneworld rules...

the squid is from the Gluttons Bay Hawker Centre. This is if you walk straight from the Conrad to the Marina Bay Area.
