This is just too true, but the question is are these early bedtimes with a cuppa acceptable when I'm just mid 30's? I really must take a long hard look at myself, and try harder to party with the best

When I was your age, 0200 was a decent hour to hit the sack. As you will inevitably discover, such energy-consuming activity becomes less appealing ... [a] You've pulled already, and [b] getting into bed with her is nice!

Then you eventually retire, and settle into a rhythm that even The Cat knows and understands. Nothing nasty [such as work] disrupts your life, so you succumb to the temptations of Tempurshire and a Kindle, in the hope that you will have the energy to get through the next day [if indeed there is one]. :D

Genius!! I'm going to start wishing my life away here as that sounds pretty darn good to me, especially points [a]&[b]. :) On occasion, the old 2 am may creep into sight without notice, but rarely. Sadly, even our children know my rhythm, and they're both sub 4 years.

That does tend to inhibit matters. I vaguely remember those days, but the kids are both now 40+ and annoying people in their own right :D
