I have been dreaming of taking the exact trip you took.
Did you arrange it through a travel agency?
I assume it's difficult to arrange all this on one's own; trains etc?
So you need summer and "winter" clothes?
As to Jakarta my cousin told me to avoid it. I believe one can fly from Singapore direct to Yojakarta.
Thank you for a wonderful report.

Awesome photos.
I visited Borobodur in October 2010, during the Mt Merapi eruption. I was very lucky as we flew from DPS to JOG - Merapi was erupting on the starboard side of the aircraft, (JOG had been closed a day or two before), and while there was lots of Ash around, Borobodur was being cleaned - but i still got to see all there was to see. Also Prambanan which is equaly stunning.
Lombok is like Bali was before the tourists discovered what a great place it is to visit.
JOG is also accessible from KUL too on Air Asia, as well as from Singapore, Johor Bahru, Medan, Jakarta and DPS for Bali.
