Brilliant trip report; love the style with meaningful statements and gorgeous pictures.

I thought photography was banned in the Budapest terror museum? ;)

Great report and some lovely pictures, fun to see so many cities i've visited through somebody else's eyes (and camera). Makes me want to go to Belgrade though

Fabulous report and images, just got back from Europe myself having done a Christmas market wander, mine was more German and Norway orientated, makes me want to turn around and go where you went!

I don't think anything more needs to be said about the quality of your photos by now!
I would add this time that I love the type of food you pick during your travels, mixing and matching and not just 5 star food porn.
As always, excellent report!

Daniel, what a wonderful trip and report. Your photos are simply spectacular and so beautifully capture the feeling and people of every place you visited. Thanks for posting!

Many thanks, SFO777:). My first trip to Europe during winter and was a bit worried about the cold, short days and lack of sunlight, but easily found plenty of things to point the camera at:).

Thanks DanielW for another awesome trip report!

Which city is your favourite?

Cheers, chongsss:). Hard to name a favourite. The cities I visited all seemed to offer something unique about them, from the architecture and cool vibe in Zurich, to the friendly people and great Christmas Market in Bratislava. I really want to head back to Vienna though; it rained for the entire time I was there and would love to see it with blue skies and long summer days.

I love your trip reports. Wonderful journey, wonderful photos.

Thank you, agp423:). Was quite a fast paced trip with 6 new countries in 9 days, but got to see and experience so much.

Fantastic.

I have not been back to Vienna since 1991. I had no idea they had a Metro.

The Wienerschnitzel at Fiegelmuler is pork, not veal. And it really makes a difference.
When I ate it I liked it but I suspected it was not veal as it is so much better.

Makes me want to return to Budapesht as they pronounce it.

I was there in 1972 and it seems so much nicer and more interesting now.

How was it like driving in Italy? I drove in Sardinia but on the Mainland I am a bit nervous to do so.

Thank you, Bretteee:). The Vienna metro is quite extensive, I think they have an S-Bahn system too(?).

Yes, the Fiegelmuler schnitzel was very tasty, getting a good dose of pig meat is not so easy in Dubai:D.

Driving in Italy was fine. A couple of drivers with bad manners / no patience, but nothing compared to Dubai:).

Thank you, HangukStyle:). Takes a while to cull all the photo's down but is good to see all the remaining photo's tell the story at the end.

Thanks, exilencfc:). If they don't catch you taking the photo's, it didn't happen:D.

Definitely recommend Belgrade. Cheap, quite a bit to see and do, and very friendly people too.

Many thanks, deovrat:). Yes, I enjoyed the duck breast and cordon bleu, but sometimes you just want a pork sandwich fresh off the grill:D.

Amazing Report and Pictures like always Daniel. I missed this one earlier. Very adventurous of you to visit all those places in a short time frame. So many different languages/currencies/cultures.

What a wonderful trip report, DanielW. You always manage to capture the essence of a city really well. It's all about the details, as seen through the eyes of the great photographer that you are.
