AM having abad day - lovely story to cheer me up!!!
Congrats and lets hope we get another trip report of you on your honeymoon down the track. Have you discovered the buying miles game - a nice trip in J/F would be perfect.

congrats!! I still have a mild fear of flying (unexpected drops in altitude tend to make me a bit nervous), but it's no big deal. I've been flying all my life!

A 4 Year Update

In case anyone discovers this thread and wants the epilogue, the phobia never returned, and I've since recommended this book to many other nervous flyers. (including one who conquered a 10 year phobia and immediately flew to Malaysia!) I've personally flown probably close to 200 legs since I wrote this post, without issue.

The girl and I didn't make it unfortunately, but made plenty of good memories traveling to places along the way.
krazykanuck and bitterproffit like this.

What a cool story. I had missed your TR the first time around and really enjoyed reading it this time. Sorry about the girl, but congratulations on overcoming your phobia. ^

this is my first time reading it so I couldn't help but detract from the OP!
but big kudos and keep on flying! 200 times in 4 years is a lot of flying :-)

LOL. Well isn't that embarrassing? For the life of me, I didn't remember it.

It was a great little report years ago, and still good now. I recall sending my mother a link to this (she's a psychologist) because I was impressed with your ability to just go for and face your fear of flying the next day. I'm so happy to hear that everything has been good since then, the whole girl not withstanding.
