Thank you for the detailed report, LPDAL. I had my first NK experience last weekend, and it wasn't so bad. Though, I wouldn't fly them for anything more than a short mid-con.

Nice report, although what you quoted there as the ILS is actually the VOR. I guess it's possible that the ILS equipment is inside the equipment shelter underneath the platform (as well as presumably the VOR), but the antennae equipment on top in the circular arrangement is definitely related to the VOR.

Thanks for the excellent report and pictures!
I don't get why American adverts always simplify things to the point of making the target audience sound completely infantilised.
"Big front seat" - that's what they call it?
Sounds like something a 4 year old would say.
"Idiocracy" anyone?

Question: If you are in the bulkhead seats, do you have to pay for overhead bin or are you exempt from that since you don't have underseat storage?

A flight attendant responded once about this question. A personal (free) carry-on sized luggage (16x14x12) has to be able to FIT under your seat...it does not say it has to STAY under your seat. Hence my husband and I ALWAYS put our personal size one bag up in the overhead and have never been told to remove it. And this has been for all our 20 or so flights. And we have flown in the Big Front Seats.

That is a picture of a VOR. A ILS is a different system and a picture of a ILS can be found here. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/76510509. A VOR doesn't provide vertical guidance and isn't as accurate. A VOR can be used for an approached but it isn't a precision approach like a ILS. To learn more about the components of an ILS see here. http://www.ohio.edu/avionics/researc.../localizer.cfm
