I flew TK IST-TLV a couple of years ago. Would love to try their longhaul product (well, preferably in J ;)) but as it's pretty much impossible to earn UA miles on TK metal anymore, I'll have to burn some miles to do so. Thanks for the detailed report!

I flew the long haul J product last year from IST-YYZ. It's pretty good but I'm not sure it's better than some of their *A competitors. Definitely better than Y though.

I'll be flying the JFK-IST route roundtrip this upcoming May in Y as well with a companion. How did you feel about seat pitch? I am 6 ft 3 inch so picking a good seat location is important especially in Y.

I am 6 ft 2 inch. It was definitely a squeeze but I didn't find it too bad. And with an aisle I was able to get up and stretch my legs any time I wanted :)

What was the reason for the 1.5 hour delay out of JFK? Winds?

I'm not sure but likely weather related. Was not announced. But as I noted several times in my TR they are not very into making announcements at TK
