Delta Business Elite on DL615 SEA-CDG

Hey all I just posted a recent review of my flight in biz elite on Delta. The whole review with pics is on my blog. It's not a super in depth review like you'll see here but it hits all the major points. It's from a nonrev perspective (sorry guys!) so the whole sky priority process isn't included in the review since I obviously didn't get to use any of those perks. The link is below but here's a brief rundown of my thoughts.

DL is taking a step in the right direction with it's refurbishment of the planes to include lie flat seats. Plenty of entertainment on the seatback tvs, the food was pretty good, service was great. Although I do have a complaint about the seats that makes it somewhat uncomfortable for tall folk like myself, the service, product, food, etc are all taking steps toward leveling the playing field with the international carriers. The asking price when I looked for the flight was 305,000 skypesos or about $8000. I personally wouldn't pay that but I'm sure there are plenty who will or DL wouldn't be charging that much. Anyway I'll stop blabbing since no one cares to read this paragraph since the full review is on another page.

Nice read. As someone who has worked at a major US airline and nonrevved quite frequently (albeit unfortunately never internationally), it's interesting to see a non-rev experience.

Glad you enjoyed it. International travel is where the value is as a nonrev. Especially on Delta with their crappy international upgrade rules

Yep you're right. I must've had roundtrip on my mind when I wrote it. I'm catching quite a few of these little errors as I reread it.

Heh not too sure. I took a look at it and took one bite and that pretty much confirmed that I'm not a keesh fan.

Not really, since the upgrade rules basically bar PMs from int'l upgrade cert availability and DMs are reduced to 4/yr. Even though the SWUs are difficult to use in their current state, I doubt you'll see the GMUs more frequently since they're limited to the smallest elite tier (a lot of whom travel almost exclusively domestic anyway).

Oh, Lordy!

Maybe he took German in high school.

Nice trip report. The food is so sad compared to that served even in the 1990s.

I don't think anyone pays $8000 for those seats - maybe $4500-5000 max.

I would hope not. 8k is insane for those seats! They're not bad but absolutely not worth 8k. I also checked the price about a week before the flight so in sure that had something to do with it.

Upgraded A330-200 now on DL615?

This flight is now being operated by an A330-200, presumably from the NW fleet. Schedule looks to be the A330 through at least late Spring

Does anyone know if BizElite has been upgraded to lie flat on this route?

When did you see it operating as a 330? I worked that flight yesterday and it was a 767.

I'm also not seeing it as a 330 anywhere. This was just a quick glance at the schedule as I didn't have time to dig deep but they would've definitely told us if they switched birds on us.
