OTP-CDG Air France A321 in Y

Welcome to today's trip report! We will be taking off from Bucharest Romania, from the Henri Coanda Otopeni Airport (OTP). Aircraft will be the Airbus A321, and we will be flying with good old Air France. Right, let's begin!

So we're heading to the airport, at 4:30 AM, since the flight takes off at 7:15 AM. (We're going to the airport so early because it is hectic at Otopeni.)

So finally, we're through with the check-in, which lasted an agonizing hour an a half. After we had gone through the passport control, it was 6:35, so leaving early from home was a good call (not to mention the hideous morning traffic in Bucharest).

Austrian Arrows and some TAROM aircraft. Just a small selection of tails around OTP.

So here;s our bird for the morning: Airbus A321, F-GTAM, operating flight AFR1089 today.

A little spotting before the flight: Air Bucharest Boeing 737 hiding behind some trees.

From inside the aircraft: TAROM A310

So, here we are. Seat 18A and getting ready to taxi to our runway.

Speaking of which, it's 08L!

Once in the air, we got a chance to see some of the countryside, on this beautiful day.

Cruising altitude reached!

Safety card on this nice A321.

The Carpati mountains.

Cabin shot. (That flight attendant is serving something and she's coming here! Yay!)

Food! (Well, a breakfast-snack.) Did I mention the seats are big and comfy? Legroom is pretty standard, nothing to complain about for a 3 hour flight.

This peach-flavoured pastry was delicious!

Classic french croissant. Tasted good, too!

And some not-so-french banana jogurt!

PART 2 will be uploaded shortly Thanks for reading and thanks for your patience!

Other than that, I took some water, and, here's something new, hot chocolate! I have never had hot chocolate on a flight before!

Plastic cutlery, some napkins and butter came with the meal, too.

The cabin has a nice blue, retro-y feel. Relaxing!

Isn't it a beautiful day?

Right-o, and now our descent into the capital of capitals begins!

Sweet contrails, right? Turns out this area is a huge aerial highway! (Makes sense, one of the world's biggest airports is underneath!)

I wonder what that is?

In-flight spotting! Who would'a thought? (That I believe to be another AF A321.)

The rest of the flight was uneventful, but I haven't got any pictures of the landing. Anyway, throughout this flight, Air France has proven to me, and hopefully to you too, that they offer a great short-haul product, with good catering, and very comfortable seats. Thanks for reading my trip report, have a nice day and see you next time!

Check out my other trip report with Air France, this time on long-haul, on the upper deck of their B747-400!
