The usual Fog climbing back over the coast

And back over right near San Jose

Final Routing of today’s Singapore Airlines 2

And a nice surprise coming over the horizon for a concurrent landing on runway 28L and 28R

And finally landed at 7:10pm back at San Francisco over 1 hour early.

11 Hours overnight then I’m flying on those guys, yuck

Time for a hotel bed then back to the Why Why Zee again tomorrow

Great report and pics Francis. Respectable SQ food consumption as well.
LOL on this pic.

Wonder how many really need them and are just using them as an excuse for special treatment. I had one on my last AA trip. It took forever to board her. Once on board, she sprinted down the aisle.

For most peoples standard, it will be a very good day on the food consumption department.
For SHF, sadly it is an average day for sure on this SQ F.
Some of the back parts, I did pick up some momentum thankfully
Wheelchair passengers, from what my contacts have told me before, it's really a destination based kinda deal, PBI is one I've heard which is horrible
Same thing goes for those gate-checked baby strollers too @:-)
So for an HKG-SFO flight, I am not overly surprised seeing SFO does have alot of the older generation Chinese who have immigrated prior.

As for me, if someone needs a wheelchair, then they need it, no ifs or but
It is completely open for the guest to request for use and sadly it is open to abuse as you point out.
If there is a way to prevent abuse, that would be great but I don't see how that is possible without causing a violation on the ADA act.

Great TR! Thank you for all the detail and great pictures. Queen Aila Int'l looks like a completely different country compared to my last two transits there in 2102.

Thanks vecta, I'll keep up the good work for sure.
Just got to maintain the balance for 59 whole parts
Any parts in the particular you are looking forward to?

Thanks woofly, I really try to go for the cabin pics and seat function pics the most personally because that's very self-explanatory in most cases.
As for the photos, I like how in the most part how they have came out.
Sadly it takes forever to get the imaging codes done especially for the Part 7-EY F (130+ pics)/Part 10-SQ F (150+ pics).
But that is just my style, it is a photo overload but an enjoyable overload

I'm 100% assuming the 2102 is 2012 because otherwise, even this "Young-Un" will be in the dirt by then
Oh ya, the new and the old Queen Alia is a 180 degree flop.
The old one was dark, constricting, very concerte, limited windows, hated that place with a vengeance.
I will say stay tune to Part 20, the other RJ part in store, I'll have a good surprise saved up there for ya.

Part 12 – COdbaUA Domestic First, SFO – ORD – YYZ

Parked 10 Minutes ahead of schedule, I was welcomed by the very friendly SFO CBP, with no line-up and minimal questioning was let through quickly, why can’t all my flying days be like this.
Back up to the departure curb for the Hyatt shuttle which arrived 5 minutes later

Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport

Assigned to my usual outside view, lovely

And with a wake-up of 3:40am, that should be an ok schedule for tomorrow’s flight.

Jun 7, 2013 – Friday
UA 734 SFO – ORD 6:02am – 12:15pm (752/F)
UA 228 ORD – YYZ 1:22pm – 3:59pm (319/F)

Back down to the lobby to check out at 4:20pm and 20 minutes back in Terminal 3, 4:40am for 6am flight, timing is going ok.

The older San Francisco Airport Terminal 3, guess I do miss flying AA out of here before

Here’s a reason why I don’t normally fly a lot during summer season, a Super amount of Kettles everywhere

Thankfully there was a respite to be found

With my check-in at 4:45am, 15 minute for waiting in priority security plus another massage, this time a new rookie who needed extra advice from yours truly.
And add on top a 7 min walk to Gate 82, I bypass the United Club and went straight to the gate.

United Airlines Boeing 757-200

Pretty sure that was the 752 at Gate 80 if I remember correctly

*15th flight, 47349 Miles flown since Apr 28
United Airlines 734
San Francisco to Chicago O’Hare
Scheduled - 6:02am – 12:15pm, 4 hr 13 min flight
Actual Departure – 5:55am
Delayed Arrival – 12:27pm
First Class, Seat 2B
Food – Breakfast
Equipment – Boeing 757-200 (24F/50Y+/108Y Domestic Configuration)

Maybe it’s me but what’s with United with all these weird departure times, maybe I’m used to a 0 or 5 as the ending.

Another example where Unlimited Domestic Upgrade fail

And at 45 minutes out, boarding started at 5:20am

United Airlines Boeing 757-200 Domestic First Class Cabin

United Airlines Boeing 757-200 Domestic First Class Seat

Open Bar PDB this morning, but just went with water

Door finally closed at 5:55am, and today’s flight time was 3 hours 50 Minutes due to light tail winds. Channel 9 was open and with a 10 plane wait, was finally airborne at 6:20am off Runway 1R.

The usual omelette or cereal option was on display, and ugh, no wonder no one pays for United First Class, yuck

*It’s a meal, enough to feed ya, but ugh…

Probably should ask my contacts who worked in the corrections, wouldn’t be surprised if prisons served better food.
Give me e500 or sticker upgs anyday of the week, one of the cases where sinking to the lowest denominator stinks the joint

And with the early wake-up call, I slept the rest of the way to Chicago. And with the light tail wind, we got to the gate about 10 mins later than scheduled with a hike from the B to the C gates via the colorful tunnel.

I took 10 mins to duck inside the United Club at C16, better than no lounges at all

Chicago O’Hare Gate C16 United Club

And at 12:50pm, I made my way to C29 for my departure to Toronto, which had already started boarding. So down the Premier Access lane I go

United Airlines Airbus 319-100

*Again, different gate

*16th flight, 47783 Miles flown since Apr 28
United Airlines 228
Chicago O’Hare to Toronto Pearson
Scheduled - 1:22pm – 3:59pm, 1 hr 37 min flight
Actual Departure – 1:22pm
On Time Arrival – 3:56pm
First Class, Seat 1B
Food – Refreshment
Equipment – Airbus 319-100 (8F/40Y+/72Y Old Configuration)

*A more sane upgrade list

Door close right on time at 1:22pm, maybe that’s why UA has these weird departure times?
Flight time of 1 hr 5 mins to Toronto, Ch. 9 was on and drinks and 2 snack baskets run were done during the flight.

Overall uneventful flight and on time arrival into Toronto and awaiting my Camero for a 24 hour stop in Niagara to see my date yet again

Thanks for Everyone's continual support, Trip Report officially 20% complete
I've just paid off the Mafia and now can officially start this report

Next Part
Part 13 – Toronto to Miami via NYC and Dallas, American Airlines Domestic First

Wow, United doesn't give you a bread plate? Yummm, sticky cinnamon bun with table cloth fluff on the bottom

To be honest, it's your writing style along with the pictures that I enjoy reading. The where/how/why/etc doesn't really matter a whole lot, it's all about being engaged in the report, which I have been with all of yours.

Keep it up!
