5 Stops: UA Island Hopper HNL-GUM Video Report
This is a video report on my recent adventure on the UNITED Airlines Island Hopper. The journey was between Honolulu and Guam via five stops (Majuro, Kwajalein, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Chuuk).
I also connected onto another UNITED flight from Guam to Manila via Koror on the same evening, but I was too tired to report on that sector, which by then became a little too routine.
Please enjoy this report -along with the classic trip-hop/cheesy pop/island vibes included with it- under the following link:

Thank You.
Regards,
Roni

It was blocked for me, too, citing a wide variety of music publishing rights, when I tried watching the video using my normal US connection. When I logged in from a non-US proxy server (please don't ask where or how), I was able to view it.
Could I suggest posting a version that removes the musical accompaniment for US viewers? I know that it will not be as nicely bundled as your version with music, but at least then a big chunk of FTers will be able to watch it.

Having lived and worked in Kwajalein (yes, I was a 'former inmate' of 'Kwajatraz Federal Penitentiary' for three years... it's a Kwaj thing, you wouldn't understand! ) here are some guidelines for the 'Island Hopper':
Kwajalein is a U.S. military installation. Unless you are a resident or an official/sponsored visitor and have valid travel orders you will not get off the plane except in an emergency. Do not take photographs, especially of the ramp area. If you get caught taking photographs you will be asked by security to delete the picture(s) off your camera card.
If you happen to get into a long delay on Kwaj (it sometimes happens) you may be allowed to deplane, but you will be restricted to a sterile waiting area and escorted closely by 'Kwaj Five-O' (the security and law enforcement personnel, backed by Army civilian cops with arrest powers). Local Marshallese citizens living on Kwajalein Atoll are bused to the dock security checkpoint after clearing customs and board a ferry to Ebeye Island, three miles north of Kwajalein.

Given that this is a 14+ hour journey, how does the crew operate? Do they change crew during any of the stopovers, or do they fly with lots of crew onboard and alternate through the journey? Or are the crew just unlucky, and have to work for over 14 hours with only the occasional rest during the brief stopovers?

Normally the flight mechanic boards either at Guam (eastbound) or Majuro (westbound); the relief aircrew member will fly one of the other segments once they get to Majuro. The Island Hopper usually takes gas at Kwajalein, where the supply of JP-5 is cheaper and more reliable than the other out-stations.
