Heathrow - Edinburgh, 2 May, Virgin Atlantic
So a brief report this time.
Heathrow Terminal 1 surprised me - it really isn't at all bad. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of getting through security and the general spacious feel of the terminal.
I went to the Servisair Lounge but to be honest, apart from some bacon butties it wasn't worth a visit.

And the gate that Virgin departs from has really great views and a Costa coffee, and you'll get better value from your money there than paying Servisair.
As the weather was amazing I got the chance to take some planespottery tickets before departure.

The aircraft was Tartan Lassie and I immediately noticed that the legroom was much diminished compared to Queen of the Cobbles. But the flight was quick and it wasn't too bad really.

The staff were really friendly and happy and you would not have guessed for a moment they had only been working for Virgin for a month!
Boarding was quick and the faux business class 'trick' worked as the middle seat was empty.
I'd have said that the flight looked about 65% - 70% full and we left a wonderfully sunny Heathrow behind...

Before long we were flying over London

In flight service consisted of a drink (tea, coffee or alcoholic) and a cookie, with Love Hearts just before landing.
I hope this works for Virgin, this was my second Little Red flight after the inaugural Manchester - Heathrow one, the staff have been standout great.
