cannot WAIT for you to get to the Hyatt Maldives part!!!

question, how many miles did you have to use for SQ business from SIN-MLE?

Ha that is the MAIN course!

It was 70k each one way for the whole trip RDU-SFO-(ICN)-SIN-MLE. It was included in the one booking. We had a 16 hour or so connection in SIN.

Ok next installment is up: Asiana First Class lounge at Incheon, and then the second leg of the SQ F trip, ICN-SIN

Not quite as fun as the first long leg but still a nice way to fly

Ahhhhh...

That's what separates SQ from everyone else.
Birthday cakes after your flight. WOWOW.

Yes! I've been looking forward to an update.

I also just checked out your Maldives destination guide and it is spectacular. I'm trying to decide between the Conrad or Park Hyatt. I have plenty of points in both programs.

Ha our next trip is in March/April to the Conrad so after that I will be able to give direct comparisons. The best I can say in the meantime is as best I can tell Park Hyatt is more remote, more secluded and I am going to venture that is more personal than Conrad. I appreciate that last statement is hard to justify without having been to Conrad, but we got such a high level of personalized service at PH that I don't see coming across in reviews of the Conrad.

PH is also more of a stretch to get to - I have sections upcoming on the TR for both the trip to and from MLE! For Conrad it is a much shorter connection, so if time is tight it may be better.

Anyway thanks for the feedback and come next April/May I will have the Conrad report too

What a fabulous trip! Great report with wonderful pics. The birthday card from the crew was classic SQ. I'm so looking forward to our SQ RTW in May.

Thank you! Coming from the master of trip reports More SQ about to come up, though I have to say given the choice in the future I'd find it hard to choose between them and Etihad. For sure the service on SQ is unbeatable, but EY had a fantastic product and my idea of refined service. More later... after Maldives!

Ok sorry for the delay... had all kinds of technical problems with my site this week so this is coming out later than hoped, but the next segment covering our transfer from Male to the Park Hyatt.

Next up will be the Park Hyatt itself, this one may take a while to put together as a lot to write about
