I liked your comment about the Last Supper being a giant mural. Sorta like the Alps are a really big hill

Great TR.

Any feelings about maniac drivers in Europe going much faster than Americans are used to?

When I bought my 05 330i I did the Euro Delivery, what a great experience, we will be doing it again next year, this time for a 740i. Were offered the LH buy one get one free promo for your flight over?

farbster, you crack me up! I was wondering what those giant hills were called.

I tried my best to blend in with the other drivers but my wife kept getting car sick. It's really hard to slow down when the car keeps whispering "Go faster". I'm gonna need a lot of electronics to keep the tickets from piling up.

This is a sick report! But truly, after visiting the BWM Welt and Museum I now have a sense of direction in life. I know it's not that pair of Jimmy Choos I want any more but be part of innovation, creativity and something revolutionary. I am more of an avid motorcyclist. Do you think BMW does the same shipping and discount offering of their motorrad to North American as they would with cars? It would be an epic trip if I can tour around Europe on a BMW bike.

Where is a good start to look into buying a BMW vehicle from Munich?

Thank you for sharing the photos and your experience. Two thumbs up!

your question regarding BMW motorcycles have been asked before to the fine folks at BMW and the only answer has been, "that is someting we are investagating." Hell its been 5 years folks... So I don't likely see it happening any time soon.

Mercedes SLR in Fronzen Bronze color. Spectacular!

This is an SLS, NOT an SLR. Big difference.

It's been three years!

Wow, three years have already gone by and it's time to start planning another European Delivery. Any tips for cars and places to visit three years later...

I've just read your tr - missed it first time round 👍

What's your budget ? How about Maserati? I've heard that's a great factory to visit

My son and I visited the Ferrarri factory which was a lot of fun! It's outside of our budget though. Maybe one of the new MB SL Coupes or GT's.

I just found this report for the first time. I did the run from the south of Franch across northern Italy and Switzerland to Munich last year. The pictures from the Cafe de Paris remind me of having dinner there too, and watching the cars come and go. I took a trip around the roundabout there as well - my mid-range Mercedes was quite the least car in sight at the time

I assume you drove along the E80/A10 (Italy) and A8 (France ) along the coast past San Remo to Nice? Amazing road, and the speed limits through some of the tunnels are high. You can do 130km/h legally through some of them.

Anyway, in that area, in summer, I highly recommend going from Italy to Switzerland over the Simplon Pass, then across the centre of Switzerland on the Furka Pass. Compare the many warning signs and safety barriers on the Simplon Pass with the assumption you know what you're doing and little white-painted rocks on the edge of the road to mark where the cliff starts. There's some good food to be had at restaurants by the roadside in the Fiesch area. When you approach Andermatt, take care in the road junction because it's too easy to go into the Gotthard tunnel by accident and end up in Italy when you want to head for Germany.

As for cars, the Ferrari FF I saw parked outside the casino in Monte Carlo will do nicely.
