Coming back from Down Under - Qantas A380 Biz Class CNS-MEL-LAX and AA F to SJC

Hi folks,

here's another report from me. It's about my recent Transpacific flight on Qantas CNS-MEL-LAX-SJC (last leg on AE First). A memorable trip on QF's A380's biz class!! I hope you will enjoy it!!

Thank you for the trip report and the great shots of QF's A380 and the Shangri-la Cairns. My experience in QF's Business Class onboard the A380 heading from LAX to MEL was excellent as well and I really think QF's Business class and the service onboard is up there alongside the top Asian carriers.

The breakfast order was a particular highlight as it made for a nice meal to wrap up the flight and it was amazing they got the order right too!

quirrow,

the A380 biz class was absolutely amazing - I wasn't expecting such a superior product on a Western airline (anymore). I am EAGER to try their First Class whenever it becomes available for grab (with miles)...

Nice report. As I've commented elsewhere, I was disappointed with the business class product. I travel on paid fares, and spent the extra money for business based on the advertised 180 degree lie flat bed. Well, the last segment for the legs tilted down and was very uncomfortable/painful on my knees when trying to sleep. Others have reported similar experience. No doubt, this is light years ahead of AA business class but I was still expecting something that was advertised that I didn't get.

Good trip report. Do you regret you did not have a window seat on the A380?

Not at all. It was actually my choice, as I tend to move around quite a bit and a window seat would have constrained me for 14+ hours to my seat at the mercy of my neighbor!

The biz class lounge at MEL was absolutely stunning. I thought the BA Galleries lounge at LHR T5 was good... but this was better!

Fantastic TR Roberto, thanks for sharing.^

Perfectly detailed and enjoyable.

I'm with you 1000% with "Down Under" Bryson's book.
I should get royalties for the dozens of copies I gave to friends.
