Wow! What an amazing opportunity! I've only been through the factory once, and I was in awe. I can't imagine what this would have been like.

I must have missed this report on its first go around but it was mentioned to me yesterday as being amazing and it did not disappoint! Thank you for sharing this very rare view into British Airways with us

Thanks origin. Can't believe it has been almost a year since this trip. Remember it like yesterday.

Not really, considering it's not a "Boeing Museum", but a Museum with Boeing stuff in there, amongst many other things.

I was down there this weekend, and heard that comment float across the floor from another visitor. I can see where the confusion can happen with all the Boeing stuff - including the red barn, and Boeing field right there, so it's understandable.

That was an amazing tour of the Everett plant. The actual tour people get to go on is nothing like this. You should almost have a disclaimer so people who have seen this first aren't too disappointed when they go on the actual tour. Even most Boeing employees don't get the chance to take the photos you did on this tour.

As mentioned above, the Museum of Flight is a separate entity from Boeing. It did have significant funding from Boeing and its employees, however.

Fantastic Report and pictures. Brings me back to when I visited the Boeing factory and EDC up in Everett.

Were the early 787's made differently?
By differently, they were made pretty much half empty and I think Boeing's just catching up on their earlier line numbers (think pre-25). Many of those orders were ANA planes I think.
