Photo Trip Report: RTW On *A -First Time in Australia- Featuring Brisbane!!
 

I have begun to fly more RTW trips to save time on the road and money for my employer by combining my EU and North America trips into one.

But I am also addicted to airlines status and Elite Qualifying Miles (EQM), and that addiction leads me to focus on certain airlines only within the *A network: United, Continental, US, LH, NH and AC. These airlines offer fare-based EQMs to allow me to earn System-wide Upgrade Certificates in the United Mileage Plus program. I also fly SQ to accumulate United miles and $ spent for PPS status.

A few months ago, I had an RTW itinerary that included New York City, Washington DC, London, Brisbane and Singapore. I was excited before the start of the trip, because it was going to be my first time visiting Australia...my good mate is from Australia!! Unfortunately, a few twists and turns alone the way that I was a little deflated when I reached Brisbane....

Regardless, there are a few photos from the trip to share, and as usual, doing this photo trip forces me going through and organize my photos taken during the trip, and keep my boring days in the office exciting!

PEK-ORD-DCA on UA
DCA-LGA on US
LGA-IAD-LHR on UA
LHR-FRA on LH
FRA-SIN-BNE on SQ
BNE-SIN-PEK on SQ

Hotels:

Grand Hyatt - Washington DC, New York and Singapore
Hyatt Regency - London
Novotel- Brisbane

Matt, you would be on the top of my list of Flyertalkers to visit if I come through Sydney.

I also like the Grand Hyatt in Singapore. Although it is an older hotel, it has gone through upgrades and renovation to remain competitive.

Ooh, a trip report about my new hometown, I can't say it was love at first sight for me, but it's growing on me! V. excited to see Brisbane through your lens -- i'll add to others' praise -- your photos are great!
I tend to do BNE-SIN-Lufthsansaland-JFK and combine trips that way, looking forward to seeing what you think of it.
