Trip back home on RBA/BI

Hi there this is my 1st trip report here.Since there are not many RBA trip reports around most forums, let me start the ball rolling so there will be more review on RBA in the future
Flight Info:
BI874
A319
Registration:saw a BR infront of the plane
ETD:5.50pm
Actual departure:6.05pm
ETA/Actual:8.10pm
Date:19 November 2011
Background
Every semester holiday I went back to my hometown, Brunei & of course as a student,I have to find the lowest price ones.Well naturally, Air Asia always offer the lowest fare but not on this occasion.RBA at first quote a very very high price on its website, while MAS is more than my budget with a 1 way fare of rm$700(if I remembered correctly). But on a day, I found RBA at only rm$300 all included and quickly booked it.
As usual, before the departure date, I did a OLC to secure the most front seat. However, this time around RBA system had some problem & I cant do the OLC.Contacted RBA via Twitter,to see if I can secure some front seats.Unfortunately didnt get it
Checkin
Arrived at KLIA at around 3.30pm, after a long journey from Sunway via a shared taxi to LCCT & bus from LCCT to KLIA, this is one of the cheaper alternative compared to paying rm$70 for a taxi direct from Sunway.Another alternative would be take a taxi to KL Sentral n board KLIA Transit to LCCT then take LCCT-KLIA bus.Was greeted by a smiling RBA checkin lady agent.Checkin was normal and off I go to departure hall
Boarding
Boarding was announced later than the time stated on the boarding pass, as the aircraft arrive late from Brunei.1st boarding was announced for Business Class passengers, family, elder people & Royal Skies member. Then boarding was continued based on seats, those seating at the end rows were invited to board followed by the rest of remaining passengers. At the aircraft door, there was a trolley with newspapers such as Brunei local Brunei Times,Borneo Bulletin,Media Permata, Malaysia NST & UK Daily Mail.Picked up a few copies to read on the flight.
My seat was 42H, and it was an emergency exit row so there was quite a bit more luggage rules. No bags are allowed under the seat in front compared to usual seats.Inside the seat pocket, a safety card,Skyshow entertainment guide & Muhibah inflight magazine
Before takeoff
As usual for RBA before the plane moves, there will be a recital of travel prayer for the journey to be blessed, followed by a safety demo by the overhead screen while the flight attendant just stand there (Hmm this is something new). The climb up to the cruising altitude was a bit bumpy & the flight continued to be quite bumpy throughout but the captain didnt switch on the seatbelt sign.
Inflight
After the seatbelt sign was switched off,the crew quickly sprang into action.1st there was the distribution of immigration/Customs/customer survey forms, followed by headsets.
At around 6.40pm, the captain came on the PA to give some info.FL was 37,000,and was expected to be on time arrival at Brunei
Inflight meal
At 7pm, I got my meal. The choice was a beef beriani or roast chicken with potato. I asked the FA whether is it spicy the beriani, and she replied she havent tried it yet but she thinks its not spicy, and so I choose the beriani. The meal was served with a choice of juice such as apple, orange and pineapple, coke, sprite & water. On the tray, there was a cold side dish, an a chocolate cake,as well as a breadroll. There was also a cup of water.Interesting enough all of RBA meal in this flight is catered from Brunei RBC catering (perhaps to save cost?)
Alright lets get to the taste of the meal. The portion looks small, but for a person with a small appetite like me its filing. The taste was ok the beef was easy to chew, the rice wasnt bad,the roll wasnt rock hard, the cake wasnt very creamy n sweet just as I like it.
After a while, a 2nd round of drink service which includes tea and coffee was made. And after this round, only the FA came to clear & collect all trays.
Before landing
Being a fan of airline collectible, as I returned the customer survey form, I asked for a pen & postcard from the FA.She returned soon with a nice small stationery folder containing a postcard & a writing pad, as well as a pen(erasable pen).
Usually before landing, there will be a candy service but not on this flight though. I wonder why?

Well I guess that's about it for this trip report.Oh BTW, I did send a feedback to RBA regarding this flight n it was received well. They even thanked me for commenting & gave me a 'small gift' of a RBA 767 collectible model
Till another trip report thanks for reading & have a nice day
