Day 3
On today’s agenda was Parliament, the Church of St Anne, House of Traditions, Fishermans Bastion, Matthias Church, Buda Castle, Budapest History Museum, Statue of St Gellert, and the Liberation Monument. This day took a lot out of me; especially since I hadn’t even for a second considered that my final sight was at the summit of what appeared to be the highest point in all of Budapest. My favorite part of today, hands down, was my impromptu tour of the inside of Parliament. It was not something I had planned on, or even thought was possible, for that matter, but upon seeing the “tickets here” sign, I figured, “why not?” Even better, it turned out to be completely free thanks to my EU citizenship! Based purely off memory while writing this, I have to say that my favorite picture (as simple as it may be) was taken of a light fixture in the North Wing of Parliament with a beautiful archway in the background and a light above in the duct that definitely wasn’t there as I was taking the photo.

Ehh, it was just ~1k miles for around 7-8 hour delay...not a great TPM (Time/Miles) for me.
