Tonight’s dinner was the top rated place I’d be dining at, Restaurant Krizia. It’s hard to notice as there is only a small sign outside and the entrance leads down from ground level, rather than flat or up as one might normally expect. I had planned out my order beforehand and again, a wrench was thrown right into it as they were out of my main course choice. There were plenty of other items of intrigue on the menu, so I settled on beef carpaccio with green salad and parmesan cheese flakes, porcini soup in puff pastry crust, oven baked shoulder of lamb with roasted potato and rosemary, and caramelized pancake filled with berries and mascarpone foam. Along with the main course, I ordered their house Cabernet Sauvignon Krizia. This almost topped my dinner at L’Atelier du Parc from my last trip, a meal I thought wouldn’t be touched for some time to come. Everything from the more-beef-carpaccio-than-would-have-been-necessary-to-keep-me-happy, to the presentation of the porcini soup as, what else, a mushroom, to the deliciously overstuffed crepe (I mean “pancake”) was perfect. I briefly considered changing my reservations for the next night to another meal at Krizia, but then remembered that they were (unfortunately) closed on Sundays and I really should give Trattoria Pomo D’Oro a shot.

I agree. One more things what happened your flight is diverted to LHR due to mechanical problems?

Thanks, appreciate it. I tend to read TRs with more pics so I figured I'd put together a TR that caters to that.

No, if you read the first flight portion of the TR, you'll see that we were diverted to Newfoundland for a "seriously ill passenger" on board causing me to miss my ongoing flight.

Very enjoyable so far, can't wait to read the rest. Congrats on your serendipitous rebooking too! I love the rare chance to double dip.

Thanks! It's always nice to get 2x miles, although I would've absolutely forfeited them in order to get to Budapest on time.
