LX: SFO-ZRH A340 in C. Swiss New Configuration Business Class

I just flew the new configuration business class by Swiss. LX39 flies non-stop from SFO-ZRH. All I can say is that it is a fantastic business class product. I flew in seat 4A, which is the seat with tables on either side of you, almost like a first class product (but still business class).

The experience was just excellent, I must say. One of the top business class products that I have flown on. This is the new configuration, and I understand that Swiss also has an old configuration business class that is not as good, from what I read. However, this was fantastic. For a 12-hour flight, I could not have asked for much more. The service was outstanding, the food was very good--not excellent, but very good. To me, this was easily comparable to SQ's business class SFO-HKG B777 product.

I hope you enjoy it!

Here is a photo of the seat and of the Swiss beer that they served:

Have fun with this one! That would be great. I flew back on LH, and I will post that TR in a few weeks. Thanks for the comment.

Thank you. I use the Canon powershot pocket sized camera. It is under $200. It's very convenient and easy to use. It's about the size of a deck of cards. From your inspiration of LH first class, I will post that TR next month. It will be the LH F experience just like you did, MUC-SFO. Thank you for the comment!

Wow! What a excellent TR!!! I'm glad you have a great flight and enjoyed for your stays in Switzerland. Why the entire A340 is very slowly to takeoff from SFO?

Thanks for you trip report !

Why would they serve nuts in a packet ? That looks economy to me.

Was the amenity kit just like as it is on the video ? No lotion or lipbalm at all ?

The slow and flat take off of A343 remind me of another video of IL-62 taking off !

Because the CFM engines have low thrust, it is a signature of A340-200/300. That's why airlines like SQ, CX, and AC dump them in flavor of 777 instead. When Airbus build A340-500/600 later on, they re-engine to RR Trent with a more powerful thrust.
