I have booked in total 8 sectors with open jaw between Madrid and Brussels. 1 sector from Madrid to Prague by LCC Wizz Air and 2 Sectors (1 award business class ticket) from Prague to Brussels by British Airways with 4 days stopover in London. I intentionally booked some layovers exceeding 10 hours in BKK (to maximise lounge usage in TG F class lounge and massage , NRT (to visit Narita city) and ZRH (to enjoy an authentic rosti dinner and a cup of hot chocolate @ Sprungli) . I also had 1 night 5* hotel stay in IST provided by TK due to onward morning flight to MAD the next day.

In summary, SIN-BKK-NRT-IST-MAD-PRG-LON-BRU-ZRH-DXB-BKK-SIN

1) Route: SIN - BKK

Seat: 15K

I had 2 airlines to choose between Thai and SQ for this sector and the obvious choice was SQ - for the lounge in Changi T3 and BTC Roasted Vegetables for the vegetarian.

SQ Lounges in T2 and T3 - nothing impressive about SQ business lounges. Basic amenities - food, internet, shower and reading materials. The food varieties were basically on par with many airlines in Asian airports (although better than most European lounges). On the plus side, there were plenty of seats in T3 which I think is more than enough for people travelling to Europe. One thing I have observed that bars (champagnes, liquors and wines) are not anywhere near the food buffet, they are hiding in another corner that no one will ever notice! A smart move by SQ

Take note of the mini massage shower holes located at the centre

In flight - Overall, good service by the airline crews, nothing to complain about.

Ordered BTC Roasted Vegetables. For the vegetarians, do not assume by ordering BTC roasted vegetables, you will get vegetarian appetizers. (You need to make a call to customer service to remind them)

Had Heidsieck for pre takeoff, Apple Bliss for post takeoff, followed by Riesling with the meals (not in the menu) and end with Colombian Supremo coffee.

Some exclusive offerings that you might not find on other airlines: Blue Mountain coffees in F, premium TWG teas in premium class and mouth wash found in all classes lavatories =p

.

TG F Class Lounge at BKK Airport

Upon arrival, I had a full body oil massage at Royal Orchid Spa and dinner at the F class lounge. As the lounge is not operating 24hrs, I booked a nearby airport hotel for a short nap before continue my flight to NRT the next early morning.

With fully escorted service and buggy ride within the airport, spacious lounge with ala carte dining, private corners & slumber rooms facilities and lastly the famous Royal Orchid Spa ..... I am truely convinced why TG ground service can consistently achieved top spot in many avaiation awards. Excellent service ^

Dinner with vegetarian tom yum soup, salad, egg fried rice accompanied with Moët & Chandon champagne and red wine.

Pre-massage seating area

Private corner for foot and shoulder massage

3 Spa Suite - full body oil massage with jagucci and 'tropical rain fall'

Post-massage seating area with Thai snacks and herbal tea

BKK - NRT F Class

2) Route: BKK - NRT
Flight: TG 676
Dep: 07:35 AM
Arr: 03:45 PM
Class: F
Seat: 2K
Fleet: B777-300ER leased from Jet Airways

Arrived 4.30 AM in the morning, dedicated check-in was not ready until 5 AM. The entire check-in process took 20 min before boarding pass was issued to me. Strangely, I was asked to pay 700 baht airport tax for getting out of the airport and checking in again. (I thought for less than 24 hours of layover, airport tax is exempted? Can somebody confirm this? )

Anyway, after collecting my boarding pass, I was escorted to the F class lounge by buggy and the 1st class treatment continued .....

Buggy ride to the boarding gate

Pre-ordered 'BTC' vegetarian semolina gnocchi with mushrooms & zucchini which I requested the crew to serve prior landing and on the spot prepare a simple vegetarian breakfast after take off. No menu pics for Thai as they were collected back prior landing. I'll let the pictures do the talking..

Maybe we could start/request a Vegetarian Traveller section?

I would love tips as to which meals to request!
