NYC Flight for a four year old - Dream Maps problem
Hi all,
I'm looking for recommendations on how to find a good, last minute, inexpensive round trip flight from NYC/LGA/HPN. I've been traveling a lot and would like to take my son on his first flight one of these upcoming weekends. Destination is not important, but it would be nice to be able to get to a decent (pref hilton) hotel and some sites via public transportation or inexpensive/convenient taxi. I thought Travelocity Dream Maps would be the way to go, based on what I've read, but I can't for the life of me get it to work - it never renders the map. I've tried on XP, Vista, Mac OS, firefox, IE and safari, and from my network or others. I appreciate any tips! Cheers |

I'd recommend a trip to DC. You can get LGA-DCA for around $100 per person (round trip), and there are plenty of Hilton properties and tons of sightseeing (here are some DC attractions for kids), and the Metro is a pretty good transit system.

For booking flight plus hotel at the last minute, you can often get huge savings with a pakage deal via Travelocity, Expedia, etc (especially when the flights are not full but advance purchase deadlines have passed).

Thanks everyone for the tips and ideas. Very helpful. Washington was on our list as well.
For booking a last minute trip, what is the best day to do that? |
